Fowley’s falls in Rossinver Co.Leitrim
The video shows Fowley’s Falls, Rossinver in full flood after heavy rain on Feb 14th. These stunning falls are a series of drops on the Glenaniff River as it flows into Lough Melvin, the lake and river are famous for three types of trout that are found there, the Sonaghan, Ferox and Gilaroo. The falls get their name from a one time landowner. The paths along the river are managed by the Ballagh Centre and the walk has now been extended and walkers can start near the Organic Centre Rossinver and walk by the riverside to the start of the falls. There is a pathway all the way, unpaved in some sections.
